Many of you know that my stepdaughter, 34 and her two sons age 12 and 8 moved into our home. Was for two weeks and now hitting the six month mark. She had a job, got fired and now as of today (after a long time) she has a job again. There have been many many many issues we have had to deal with..her alcholism, lies, internet and than meeting of a 23 year old boy(oops 24 today) and her lies regarding that. Her laziness, her time on phone and computer..anyway the list goes on and on. We could not throw her out (even though I at times really wanted to) due to the boys. It caused more fights with my spouse than we ever had before. I was ready to move out...we thought at one time we had taken some serious steps forward but to only find out that she had lied to us again. With this new job; one of my Christmas wishes came true. The next is for her own home with her children.
I have spent bizzillion hours in prayer over this and so far the prayes have come true, I have not caused her bodily harm.
I am still struggling with my heart disease a bit but doing better; have put my papers into circulation to see what other churches are interested in a short, now skinnier, stylish mouthy blonde pastor.
I am sorry that I pulled away from so many in here but am use to helping not needing the help and for awhile life was a broken record here. But am back just in time for a move and redecorating party.

) I can only imagine that it must be harder to deal with a step-child than one of your own. You might love them like your own, but if you deal out "tough love" than spouses might often misread our intentions.
