We currently have two test groups up and running. We are hoping to narrow it down in the next week or so to give everyone time. Just keep watching the boards we will post a link for the new community. We have decided though to let everyone rejoin the new group if they wish to in order to cut down on some of the "members" that probably don't even actually exist or log in anymore. I really don't see enough participation to support the member list of 1500+ lol

I guess if anyone has pictures they want to keep that are still on MSN servers, they should download them now, or will all that data and file structure be x-fered in the process?

Ok the thing about pictures. Yes if anyone has pictures posted on here that they don't have a copy of I would highly suggest you download them yourself. I would gladly take on the task of moving the Bash picture BUT here in lies the problem. Some of the new services we are looking at also have albums and some do not have a community album persay each individual member would have there own.

hey all,  I really do keep up with some of the news.  would sure love to know where you all will be meeting.  I report to the room from time to time but most of the time no one is present.  miss chatting with you all.   life itself keeps me busy.  so sorry for the lose of loved ones and all.  Good to hear you reports are good, colin.  hang in there.  my prayers go out to all of you and  A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR YA'LL.

So for photos on the new services, will they allow easy hotlinking from another webhost (as opposed to authoring a post in HTML to display a pic not on the server) or will we have to download to their servers?

 

I have a Flickr pro account that has decent bandwidth but obviously it would be preferable to store them on a group maintained server.

 

In other words, is the easiest solution to host the pics off site or to have some sort of generic profile to establish a community album? 

Ok my answer was a tad confusing even to me so let me try that again. If any member has pictures posted that they wish to keep I highly suggest dowloading a copy to your hard drive. Some of the places we are looking to move do have community albums and some do not so at this time I do not have a solid answer to your ? Lost
