Got one on my GMC and love it.
You have to set what you want either AC or heat.
Mine will not work until all doors are locked and without a key in the ignition you can't get it out of gear.
The best part of the remote is that if someone gets pissed off at you, you got a chance to miss that little surprise that was left for you...
And it is handy to heat up the vehicle before you get in and drive.
