I don't post here very much, but as we near the end of a historical 2008, I wanted to ask each and every one of you: How has your life changed here since joining WAMAW? The many people that we ran across our paths during our times here and the memories that will last a lifetime?
I will start by saying that I first came on board to WAMAW in 2002. Was looking for a new chat home and really didn't know anyone, not to mention I really didnt have many friends either. I think my first chance came during the Ohio bash, in which I actually got to meet the people I chatted in the room with. Really had a nice time and made friends while doing so. It was my first time feeling that I actually had a caring chat home.
Though there have been challenges and growing pains just like any room or relationship, I think the main thing that stands out the most is the fact that when people needed the support and stick together, the bonding was there. Many dear ones we have lost over the years we will always remember them as well. And I am appreciative of two room mates as well, Mel and Sens for being there for me when I needed support. Shows me that there are sincere caring people in this world and that I don't have to go through life totally alone.
Now tell me, how has this community and room changed you over the years? |

Suggest you read "Looking Back" post of dec 11 ( although people might be in a more reflective frame of mind at the second time of asking) |

Hi Still, I was once a regular member and then I grew out of the room, I mean room moved into today I was a yesterday. What did it do for me, well I found friends and advice from posts. Although I did not I would have got help and support if I had asked when husband, so they taught me to try to help.. I think looking at the room now I feel they have grown closer as a family would they have found a life that is full of pitfalls but they have the support of WAMAW. Selkie_Rowan. May you all have a Merry Christmas and all the good that 2009 can bring. |
