I can't talk to you anymore,
for you'll never understand.
I can't laugh or be silly with you,
or ever let you hold my hand.
I can't share with you my feelings,
for I know that you don't care.
I can't want and need you like I did,
because that desire just isn't there.
I can't be your everything anymore,
because what I was, was never enough.
I can't love you like I used to
because you've made it way to tough.
I can't smile without forcing it,
you've taken that from me, too.
I can't make any new memories,
but the ones I have will do.
I can't picture us together again
because now we're only apart.
I can't let you live anymore
in this place I call my heart.
