Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
½ cup softened butter
½ cup sugar
5 tablespoons of dark brown sugar
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
¾ cup of flour
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
12 ounces semisweet chocolate…Nestle Toll House Morsals
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Put the butter, both sugars in a mixer bowl, and cream until well mixed. Add the vanilla extract and egg mixing well. Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt. Add small amounts of the flour to the butter mixture and mix well. Fold in the chocolate pieces. Refrigerate the dough for ½ hour. Spoon out 1-tablespoon portions on a parchment lined baking sheet 2 inches apart. Bake the cookies for 6 minutes then remove the baking sheet and rotate 180 and put back in the oven for 6 more minutes. Allow the cookies to cool before you start to munch on them. This will give you approximately 5 dozen cookies.
