I remember my mom making one that wasn't creamy. It was pretty thin. Got one?

I thought I replied to you Sass. We tried this out and we used leeks and chicken broth, celery seed and basil. At least I think it was basil. At any rate it was very good. Thanks for your input!! :}

and I had country ham to mine chopped up in small bits. But if you use the country ham put it in when you start cooking (pork and well done and all) and don't add salt the country cured ham has enough on it's own

Okay guys, I actually threw this one together. The whole pot was devoured. There are no measurements just use whatever you think is right.

potatoes, peeled and sliced, cover with chicken broth and cook. Saute' onion and celery until tender crisp, add to potato mixture. Add 2 sticks of butter, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper to taste. Add milk until it is the consistency that you like. I also added cooked bacon.

I truly hope that I can duplicate this. I made it for my neighbors, boyfriend didn't get any. I'm trying a new recipe tomorrow night. If it is good, I will post it.

Happy eatin'

frost..the reason he didn't get any is because he wasn't around. I told him about it the next day, how awesome it was, etc. I am sure a tease. Oh that is why Zoo used to call me teeezer. LOL
