Does anyone know how to change the settings of temporary internet files (internet explorer 7)....they used to show each day under internet options/browsing history/settings/view files.   Now they disappear each time the browser is closed.
It is not anything to do with the advanced tab under security 'empty temporary internet files when browser is closed'.

Where is the setting changed?
thanks

Internet options is found under the tools symbol on the right side of the page in IE7 check there and see if that helps you.

What are you wanting to do? View the History? Change the number of days it holds in memory?

To change the size of the temporary internet files it is under tools/internet settings/ browsing history/settings

Sorry, I guess I am not making it very clear.....I know that is where you change the settings, but how do I put it back so I can see todays, previous days...etc....right now, each time the browser is closed, the files are wiped.....when I open the browser again....the files that were there are gone....I want to put it so they stay there.

thanks

go to tools/internet settings/ browsing history/settings and set the days to keep in history to number of days that you want to keep it is probably set to zero and since it is a tabbed browser I am not sure it will log the history of all the tabs.

Now I have another question....I notice that IE 7 doesn't keep ALL the sites visited like the older version of IE did.  Is there any way for me to change it so that it does?  (This is so I can monitor what sites have been visited).
thanks

under tools, internet options, general

it lists browsing history click the settings button at the bottom of that window it has history set how many days you want the history to be saved and click ok.
Also make sure that you don't have it set to clean up when it is closed

Yes, thanks I am aware of that...but the problem is, all the websites do not show in TIF like they used to.  All the websites ever visited for every minute of the day would show, now only a selected few.
I don't understand what has changed.

IE 7 lists the main page accessed not pages within the main to the best of my knowledge. But you lost me on the TIF thing I'll check with AJ
