While it happens on occasion that birds in flight hit planes in flight; it is so rare for a number of reasons these days (even with more planes in the air) for a hit, or one to a flock big enough to take down a jetliner; that that explanation needs more elaboration.  How about a meteor hit taking down Flight 800?  A meteor shower was taking place at the time and one need only be the size of a small caliber bullet that would have disintegrated before hitting the ground, to have punctured the plane at the right place to ignite an explosion(?)

Most people are aware that there is becoming in the USA something very wrong.  I have friends that I can freely discuss even conspiratorial ideas with and others that I share other things with.  Many who are keeping up know that we are losing our freedoms through UNConstitutional laws.  For instance the "Patriot Act" was passed without on a single lawmaker given the time or even permission to read the whole thing.  The executive branch simply insisted they pass it RIGHT AWAY.  And they did.

watched Discovery last night, uh? If a metor had disintegrated to the size of a small caliber bullet...it would not be any faster if not slower than the force of a small caliber bullet which could not sustain that kind of damage.

Those that make it to the ground can still be going at 20,000 mph.  No, I don't get much of a chance to watch TV and most of the good science shows are reruns because the da__ military has all the new science classified for weaponry!

  Well, I don't watch them either. My boyfriend does. Actually he is a chronic channel changer. But when I read your post, he imediately stated that was from discovery last night. I go by those facts.

 

As for the 20,000 mph...don't you have some quantum physics website? Well, the atmosphere is made to cause friction and burn to slow down potential foreign objects. But your theory was that even a small size metor maybe comparable to a calibur bullet could damage the engine. That is false. It would not be going 20,000 mph. My boyfriend who yes, knows this stuff said UH, when I stated that you said 20,000 mph. I added that gravity and weight of the metor, he added the speed that it entered, had more to do with the damage it will cause upon hitting the ground. But your senerio is false. Something that small can not go that fast though the atmosphere or that fast upon falling to the ground or the altitude of the planes...

Bullets travel from 20 to 30 thousand mph, but meteors; depending on a multitude of things, can start out from the upper atmosphere at upwards of 60 to 70 thousand mph.  I was being conservative.  And bullets have been known to breach airplanes.

rambling Man that makes no sense...I laid out your theroy in the last post. You were not talking about bullets...stick to your senerio that is wrong and false...but you can't because you can't admit you were wrong or are just out to cause trouble....
