Intrigues have existed before the written word.
The forces of nature would bless mankind with a bountiful harvest. Or bestow a curse of a prolong drought.
Is there a sentient power controlling the forces of nature? Can this power be influenced by the needs and whims of lesser beings?
Gods and priests weren't the only forces humans found intriguing.
Battles were fought for plunder. Not all intrigues were so blatant. Samson was seduced by coyness.
This is the age of the almighty
Many scheme to obtain vast wealth. Others scheme to take it from them.
Though the headlines are devoted to tales of power and creed, there are lesser forces that influence people's lives.
