Land Claims due to war or takeover by another country....should the land go back to the "original" people or does the "winning" country have the right to keep the land?     consider the Native America land claims now happening in Canada in the Southern Ontario region; the original deal was for the Native Americans to be "given" 10 miles of land on each side of a river, most of the land is now in the hands of "whites", should the land be given back countries that have taken land in war - at what point do the "losing" people have the "right" to demand their land back is the "policately correct" way of settling the claims valid if you say yes give back the land, how far back do you go if you say yes, then all of the America's should then go back to the Native Americans would their be any place left on the planet that did not belong to another group at one point in time or another
