Check these common causes of sign-in difficulties:
  • Make sure you have a valid Microsoft .NET Passport account.

If you don't or you're not sure, create a new account.

  • Make sure you typed your complete e-mail address correctly.
  • Make sure you typed the correct password.

Passwords are case-sensitive, so make sure you type uppercase and lowercase letters exactly as you entered them when you created your password. If you have forgotten your password, see Microsoft .NET Passport Help for instructions on how to reset it.

  • Make sure your browser's cookies are enabled.

In order to get a Microsoft .NET Passport and sign in successfully, your browser's cookie settings must be enabled. Cookies are small files that store information on your computer's hard disk. If cookies are disabled, .NET Passport cannot verify your account.
