oh yeah, I had a rather good kit made up. Of course where I was I also had a few defence items as well. (never had to use'em fortunately)
Everyone, no matter where you are, should always have at the very least, a good FA kit, some readily edible canned/dry foods, flashlights (with working batteries) and some bottled water. 3 days worth of consumables at the very minimum.
tip: if you have a chest freezer, get a few gallons of bottled water. drink about 1/3 of each, then put in the freezer. In the event o power failures etc, the ice keeps the food cold, and you have a few gallons of drinkable water.
