Very loud thunder woke me up at 4:30am this morning. Turned on the TV to the Weather Channel and saw my area (among others) is under a Tornado Watch! It rained hard for a while, but has tapered off (so has the thunder.) It is now 67 degrees. I see another line of wicked storms headed my way, so may need to unplug and go cower in the closet with my dog (poor goldfish must fend for himself in case of tornado! ) Keep your fingers crossed for me that potential tornadoes miss my house again.... |

You know what to do. We know what to pray. Should the worse case occur, you have real friends here, like me, who will provide the real help you need. |

Be Safe Dear Gryphon!!! There is all sorts of weird stuff going on all over...Pikes...are you iced in? I heard that the Denver area was to get hit pretty hard...we had an earthquake in No. California yesterday morning. A 4.5 on the scale...not too shabby. But no global warming...nope nope nope. |

Cold, windy and dry here. Mountains look like they're being hammered though. This is the kind of thing though, that moves onto the plains, heads south, and causes the concern Gryphon has, when it warms up and tickles dew points. |

Whew! Thanks, ya'll, for wishing away the tornadoes! Lost power several times, but only for a few minutes each time. Sure was glad I'd unplugged the computer! When the front blew through, I could feel it! The temperature started dropping, fast. It is now in the 40's, and supposed to go down another 10 degrees over night. I think we got a couple of inches of rain. Weather dudes are saying the next week should be clear here. Good. I can get my little trees planted tomorrow that I got from the Arbor Day Foundation. Pikes, thanks so much. You know you've shelter here, too, if the need arises. |
