...tell us what we are going to do come February and the notice is up?

I'm in three other groups who have migrated, and the big difference I see is that it's an updated  MySpaceish kind of look.  What are ya thinkin boss?

I'm thinking we should wait for some other groups to migrate so we can see what more options end up looking like. Is Multiply one of the places you have seen looking Facish? Don't fret, Jen. We've still got time to procrastinate....

Jen, one thought.... I believe we can only preserve the history here by migrating this site to Multiply, but that does not lock us in to continuing posting there if we find a board with more agreeable format. Should we find a place we like better we just keep the Multiply site alive and provide links back there for our own ease of reference. What do you think?

That's what a lot of people are relying on for the moment.  I'm in a couple of groups who have already migrated, and I don't find the format objectionable at all.  I would wait to migrate though...I do know of groups who have lost history in the move.

I tried to join Multiply the other day, only to discover that someone else had already claimed "TheGryphon" as a name!

Libs  (Muzzled Muggle) apparently ran into the same exact problem, but tweaked his name slightly to get an original, and suggested I do the same.  So, I have joined Multiply as "TheRealGryphon" (and, while doing so, discovered someone else is "TheReal"  )  Who are these people stealing our names????

Yeah, unfortunately, I can't remember what 'near-nick' I chose when I joined Multiply a couple weeks ago.

20 years ago, Coot, I'd have agreed with you.  These days, however, I'm not feeling so "Super"!

Xer, did you delete the email confirmation that Multiply sends you when you create your account with them?  Check that.....

Thanks Gryphon, I'm Xer1. All my life I've waited just to be reduced to a number. <gag-gag-retch>

Jen, the rhythm in this thing makes be either want to move, or kill it.

BTW, your make up was pretty good.

Thanks for the compliment...I'll post her "injury pics"  an RN friend of mine thought (from one of them) that she was really hurt.

Pikes, that was funny... but, you would have to move to kill it. No?

Jen, it is not the icon, so much, that makes me laugh every time, as it is the context you always create for it. Icons alone are only icons. Icons in context are communication beyond the words.
