OK, gang, I'm off to the hospital Monday morning...surgery is scheduled for 1:30pm.  Then I will have 2 bionic knees!  I should be home Thursday but it will be a couple of weeks before I'm back online and I will give a full report as soon as I can sit long enough at a time.  Gotta keep circulating, y'know.

Y'all take care of yourselves and each other, and speak of me kindly behind my back.  lol

KC

We love you, Kitty. Of course you are in our thoughts and prayers. Have an uneventful surgery and as painless a recovery as possible. Be in touch when your comfortably can.

ditto Lisa's comment.

Kitty, I must repeat a post I made several years ago maybe in Apathons I think.

Somewhere around 1998, two good friends had a knee replacement at about the same time.

Dottie who was mostly a couch potato and a very good friend of ours. After the operation, she returned to the couch. I doubt that she ever healed since she used a stick/walker til her death a few years later.

Bill, an avid golfer and I do mean avid. Within some few weeks after the operation, he was back on the course playing. I have lost touch with Bill, but I am willing to wager that he is still playing most every day.

oc...oh both of them were about the same age....

Thank you all for your good wishes!  I'm definitely planning to stay active.  I'm thinking that if I can do white-water rafting and traipse all over London and Paris before bionic knees, I may be unstoppable after!!

Love y'all     See ya soon!

KC, would you believe that once I put my foot in my mouth?

Out near our tree farm in WA, I found myself in the kitchen of a causal friend having been delivered there by her husband. He had just invested over an hour getting a friend and me out of a fairly bad situation in the woods some distance from their home. So, Mrs. X said that she was just recovering from her second Knee job and also that her hip replacement was working out OK. It just slipped out "Gee, you are almost a robot." Quiet - then a faked laugh. I could think of no recovery, so just stayed quiet while drinking her just made coffee.

oc..
