Interesting, CNN is doing a week long 'article' on the possibility of 'other than earthly' life next week. CNN American Morning One wonders if there is any relationship between the economy being in the toilet and 'escapist' reporting?

The time has long since passed to get the g*d-damned American government to bring little shadow governments out of the shadows and force them to reveal truths that impact the lives of ALL Americans. I'm sick to death of speculative reporting. How about some good old fashioned investigative reporting? Some backbone in our representatives would be pretty darn welcomed too. Shadow governments are un-elected, thus un-Constitutional. It's time for a little prosecutorial investigating as well. Hey, Congress! Where's a Special Prosecutor when we need one?

Good observation in the reflection of arts, which any escapist concept is part. Aliens might be nice, because for the neocons, they could provide some other group to blame. Must really suck to be a neocon. Think about it. Your idols Jimmy Carter, Walter Mondale, and Michael Dukakis were all thoroughly spanked. So, you jump on the republican bandwagon, to watch Bush I lose to Clinton, and Bush II escape from Gore only with special help, barely escape witless John Kerry, and leave office as one of the worst presidents in American history, while your latest hope lost to Obama. |

Why do you believe neocrumbs were fans of Jimmy Carter, Walter Mondale, and Michael Dukakis? Was not their movement born during Reagan's reign? I never understood how people were sucked in by that pisspoor grade B actor. Have you ever seen any of his stupid movies? He was unbelievable even then! Fortunately, neoclowns have decidedly lost favor with the general American public. And, they will rapidly become a part of history. Most will deny ever having been one, except for a lunatic few who will hang around the fringe with signs proclaiming, "The End is Near!"
So, you were saying, all art is escapist? Or all escapism is art? What exactly did you mean? Can you contextualize it for this feeble old brain?
