Last night at supper mom dropped a tidbit I'd never heard before. Her father had some Swede in him! And, here I always thought grandpa was pure blooded German. Go figure. Guess I'll never really know what all we are.
Wife just informed me, it's time to rejoin the family doings. I'll drop in again this evening. Be well, buddy. Hugs for Flora. |

A bit of Swede is a good thing judging by the Swedes we met out that way and here abouts. But this upstate is really German country. The non-native upstate ones have been joined by lots and lots of NY imports. Good people to know.
oc...keep having fun at the beach and pls do not let the "bad" news get to you. |

Fear is a terrible think, Cooter. That's exactly what terrorists bank on... damn them all. But, it will not deter us from going back, just makes me wish I could carry a firearm along to protect us with. Defending yourself against firearms without one of your own is, well.... speaks for itself, doesn't it?
It was just funny for me to discover, at this late date, along with all the other diversity I've also Swedish blood in me. Since you always called Darrington Swede Heaven, I figured you'd get a kick out of learning what I just learnt. Life's a trip, isn't it? |
