I am thankful for all my dear friends here at the Cafe and for Bill Gates, without whom I might never have met said friends.  I'm thankful for titanium and plastic and doctors who know how to build new knees (and especially thankful for pain pills).  I'm thankful that I discovered hair color.  I'm thankful for the turkey and the pig who have given their lives for a worthy cause.  I'm thankful for my wonderful family, my home, and other countries that I leave home for sometimes.  I am thankful to God for all of my many blessings, not necessarily in the order typed.

KC

I'm with Coot on this. In moments like this, words always fail, music always meets the challenge, and in this forum, the only music is either silence, or inner music.

So therefore, I will take your requests, and actually play them for you. I can use the practice, and for that time, you will know you are in my head and heart. Maybe a time will come when I can record and post the real deal, (You Tube might work), or better yet, we do it for real. Imagine Liv and me in concert together.

How's that?

Thanks, Kitty. I'll come back to this later today. My wife is calling me to join the clan now.

It would take all night. and I could still never list all I am thankful for. First and foremost I am thankful to have survived for one more Thanksgiving! I'm thankful for a wife who refused to allow me to give up to death's siren song, and insisted we get another motorcycle. For the wonder of five senses enabling me to enjoy this beautiful world in so many ways. I'm thankful for those family members still surviving with me, and for those who have gone before but enriched my life by sharing it before their passing. I'm thankful for all my friends, those I know both online and those known offline, for everyone who has ever enriched my life. I am thankful to live in such a period of exciting changes, and for being allowed to live to see Barack Obama elected President of the USA! For being born in such a privileged country as this! And, I am thankful to have born with the ability to feel thankfulness, the ability to experience and appreciate other people, and for a mind capable of perceiving this awesome universe and that I have a place in it.

...oh, and like Kitty, I am very thankful for painkillers without which, surely, I would have died from pain after the surgery that saved my life. Too, I am thankful for an inability to remember what that pain actually felt like!

OC, my good man, methinks you need stronger glasses!  But thanks for the compliment.  A friend saw that pic and said I looked sick.  Well, I did take it of myself in my sickbed.  lol   Perhaps I should delete it altogether.  Or how about this one that I took at a local "park-with-small-lake-while-trees-turning"?  Actually, I think two surgeries within five months has aged me.

OOPS, never mind.  Sez file is too large.   .02 too large.  hmmm...

Alrighty then.....here's a goose pic.
