Wow!  An Owl perched within view?  I'd say that's a good omen for a better new year, wouldn't you? 

 

I'm passing up an invitation I received to attend a blow-out party tonight (complete with live music,) to stay off the icy roads and home with my own bottle of bubbly. 

 

What are your plans?  Got Resolutions?  I don't.  Never understood how a commitment made for New Year's is somehow more "important" than ones made at other times of the year, so why bother?
