Not to ''stir anything up,' Pikes, but we are certainly agreed Gryphon has her way with words. You all are swell folks, and I count myself multiply blessed to have the gift of your friendship.
Say, Gryphon, since the intrusion of modern technology (especially since invention of computers) Christmas and birthdays are pretty much always opportunities to practice meditation and stillness of spirit... aren't they?
Hope your knight in shining armor manages to find the help you need in time for your enjoyment of Riven today. I've still not figured out Myst. Just keep running around in circles from island to island and nothing new to find. Looks like I'm supposed to interpret some pictographic language to progress!?! Heck, I've enough trouble with written English. Am certainly no linguistic scholar. When it became frustrating rather than fun, I just put it way. It's been a year or more now. Couldn't find any tips or hints online. People who play the game are selfish with their discoveries evidently. Maybe someday I'll pick Myst up again, maybe not. Frustration is not my idea of fun.
We are in no hurry here today. It is just the wife, my elder sis and myself. Of course, long distance phone calls have all been made. Dinner will be in about another two hours. Since sis is still ensconced in the other room working on our gifts they aren't even wrapped, so Christmas gifts have not yet been opened. The wife is working on some dance. I am doing some video transfers for offline editing later. Just relaxing and hanging out while waiting for the bird to finish cooking.
As said, we're all 'old' folks here and not in any hurries.
Montezuma's revenge on Christmas, Coot? What on earth did y'all have for dinner? Our very best warm wishes to the both of you.
Again, it is a blessing and deep pleasure to have each of you as part of my life. Thank you for being. Have a lovely Christmas night. |
