RUSTY'S STEAKHOUSE MINI-MEAT LOAVES
Mix together
2.5 pounds ground chuck or ground round
1/2 cup quick or regular rolled oats (can substitute bread crumbs)
2/3 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
Work all together and form into six big patties, about 4 inches wide and an inch and a half thick. Place patties into glass or corning baking dish and top each pattie with a teaspoon of ketchup and a thick slice of onion.
Bake at 400degrees for 20 minutes , then 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until onion browns around the edges and patties begin to char.
Remove onion slice before serving if their are onion-haters in the crowd.
