Betty used to serve these at her weekly poker games, which then became monthly poker games and lately have been more like twice-yearly get togethers. Bea Arthur can put away a dozen of these babies in no time.

CHICKEN WINGS PACIFICA

mix together in a saucepan:

1/2 stick butter
1 tablespoon peanut oil or canola oil
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup light brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard (or prepared mustard will do)
3/4 cup water

Heat stirring over medium high heat until butter and sugar have melted. Transfer to a cool saucepan or bowl and let cool at least 20 minutes.

Wash
3 pounds chicken wings or drummies

Place in a large rectangular glass pyrex baking dish, cover with cool sauce, cover with saran wrap and marinate in fridge 2 hours.

Heat oven to 375. Bake 1 hour, turn wings and bake 15 minutes more.

Drain over paper towels before serving, except remember Edna likes hers dripping with sauce.
