Who was the BIGgest star in the world, Ruben? Or was it Donna Summer? Jordin Sparks? Hope they didn't all fly in on the same jet.

And what happened to Miss Paula, did she get cold feet?

I guess the so-called biggest star in the world was George Michael?
Whoop-dee-doo.

In his head maybe.  Nigel told the FOX L.A. entertainment reporter last night that the biggest star was supposed to be Ironman but because George Michael didn't show up for rehearsals until really late - they had no idea that he was going to go on for so long - so they had to cut out Ironman.

Oy.  That's all I have to say about that!  haha .... Like you said, maybe in his own mind he's a world star.

I still don't really even understand some of their choices.  It's not that I don't like the people who guest-starred -- I've always adored Donna Summer but I did wonder why they chose those particular singers ... why Seal?  why Bryan Adams?  why George Michael?  Did any of the Idol contestants say that those were their favorite singers?

Yeah I agree.  It's not like they were relevant or even contestant's favorites.  But that seemed to be the running theme this year - lets see how OUT of date and irrelevant we can make the themes / mentors.

"The biggest star in the world right now" was Ironman.   They had a thing scheduled but the special effects weren't working till the end of the show.  Then George Michael showed up a half hour late and threw the schedule into a tizzy.

So the Ironman skit never did make it to air.

At least that was the explanation of fox news this morning.
