Katrina is a tragedy beyond human comprehension.  We see so much of the dismal aspect of this event.  If all things work together for good, what good can come out of this tragedy?  First of all the testimonies of those who still live is one of the many miracles of God.  For those who are saved who went thru this it could be a test.  Will we love God when we are stripped of all of the material?  Does that change who we are?

Lazarus, come forth.  Many people doubted the power of God even in the low places.  Yet, because of christ's love we all have life eternal.  Lazarus was an example of his ressurrection power.  The victims of the hurricane are not victims, they are survivors because of God's grace.  They have lived to tell the story of his goodness.  Even though they may be at a low place and it may seem like all is lost.  God is not done with them yet.  In our time of weakness, God is continuing to perfect us.

So I challenge all of us as christians to not just talk about it, but to be about our Father's business.  I also challenge the suvivors.  "Survivors, come forth" as Lazarus did.  The faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains.

Thank you Lord for your marvelous light and for your goodness and mercy.  Lord help us all to be what u want us to be.  Help us be a light so that others may be drawn unto you.  Mature us all.

In jesus name I pray amen
