There is much controversy right now on who the anti christ really is. Is it someone we know, or someone yet to come? Just who is this anti christ that will affect us all? Is he working right now on his goal? Where is he from?
Is it one person or several?

The word antichrist is derived from the original New Testament Greek word pronounced antichristos, which means someone who opposes, and/or takes the place of, the true Messiah.

Any ideas we can share and learn from?

1 John 2:21 - I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

1 John 2:22 - Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

1 John 2:23 - Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

(KJV)

This is just thrown out because it was a belief of my old church, that the "historical antichrist" came forth in the papacy long ago.
This by no means countermands that there will be an antichrist in the future, but i believe it would not be good to try to identify him as many have tried to identify him over the years and been wrong.
