Today's "Marriage" Scripture by Jason Hunt *December 20, 2008*

Song of Songs 2: 1-2
I am the spring crocus blooming on the Sharon Plain,
      The lily of the valley.
Young Man
 Like a lily among thistles
Is my darling among young women.

The rose of Sharon and lily of the valley were flowers commonly found in Israel.
The bride humbly refers to herself as common, just another girl, one among many girls. Her groom contests that there is nothing common about her! And that she is the most beautiful among many!

How do you see your wife?
Is she the one you would choose all over again?
Is she the woman you would first choose in a room full of women?
Do you notice the other women against the beauty of your bride?

Solomon used the language of love. Be sure to tell your spouse, "I love you" everyday, and show that love by your actions and your words.
