Today's Scripture *January 6, 2009*

Mark 1: 12-13
The Spirit then compelled Jesus to go into the wilderness, where he was tempted by Satan for forty days. He was out among the wild animals, and angels took care of him.

To identify fully with human beings, Jesus had to endure Satan's temptations. Although Jesus is God, He is also man. And as fully human, He was not exempt from Satan's attacks.
Because Jesus faced temptation and overcame them, He can assist us in two important ways:
(1) As an example of how to face temptation without sinning, and (2) As a Helper who knows just what we need because He went through the same experience.
Hebrews 4:15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.

Precious Savior, Almighty God, we worship You!
Thank You for coming to save us! Thank You for making a way for us to come into Your presence!
May we always remember that we can call out to You! You are always here for us!
You will never leave us, nor forsake us. You know what we need and when we need it.
May we always and forever dwell with You. In Jesus' Name, Amen..

God bless!
April
