Today's "Marriage" Scripture by Jason Hunt *December 27, 2008*

Ephesians 5:28
In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself.

I was recently very sick with a viral infection. For several days I was too sick to work, shop, or even stand.
April was left to do everything; including the little details I like to help out with around the house. It pained me to watch her have to do everything. During this time I realized that whatever I neglect in my health, spirit, and attitude directly and indirectly affects April.
I have recently been inspired to become healthier, visit the doctor, and take my overall physical well being much more seriously. Treating my body like a holy temple has become a new desire. I want to be the man of God I was designed to be. Physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Father of all things and our Great Physician, I pray that You will help us as men to turn away from the distractions of this world that contribute to poor health. That we would honor You with our temples, remaining pure, to be ready for use in Your Kingdom doing Your work. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
