There is a flame that burns deep within my heart
It is a special flame that burns for Christ alone
His splendor and His grace and His saving power
Kindles the flame that keeps me safe and warm.
There is a special bonding that I have with Him
A special love that cannot compare with any other
He's always there to listen when I kneel in prayer
A constant source of strength to this troubled soul.
When old Satan tries to tempt me with his cunning ways
I know there is a source of comfort to help me along
My Jesus sends the Comforter to soothe and calm me down
My heart is overflowing with His constant care for me.
A flame will be there with you if you turn your heart to Him
It will warm your spirit lift your soul and set you free
He will not ever deny you or leave you all alone
I recommend Him highly, He's the Keeper of the Flame.
