Through thick and thin
Loving me just the same�
My Always-Precious Friend
Times when I looked away
Drifting aimlessly�in this life
Taking that path of hopelessness and despair
Then I fell upon my knees and prayed �opening up my heart
And saw�You were always standing there
By my side�You’ve always been
Holding me�in those moments I laughed and cried
Comforting me�in your loving arms
When those I loved�had died
You were there�By my side
When my children were born
Holding them�as You always held me
In gentle and soothing arms
When the morning should come
As we greet�a brand new day
I know with all my heart�Dear Lord
You’ll be there�by my side
Guiding me�along my way
