Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

    

     This was brought to my attention and I felt an urgency to pass this along. I come to you all with a heavy heart, asking for your prayers and support.  I recently came across an article from Fox News about a woman who is brain dead and is with child.  Her name is Susan Torres and is from Richmond, VA.  On May 7, 2005 she collapsed from a stroke after aggressive melanoma that spread over her entire body including her brain.  Susan is 26 years old, married and currently has one child ( 2yr old Peter)  Ultrasounds show that it is a baby girl, she is currently unharmed and she 24 weeks along.  She will need to make it to 32 weeks for the best hope of the child surviving.  Her husband has quit his job and sleeps in a chair at her side.  So far they have over  $400,000  in medical bills and it is costing 10's of thousands of dollars each week.   Their son Peter is staying with his grandparents and hasn't seen his mother since she collapsed back in May.  A foundation has been set up to help this family during this time of need.  I have included both the mailing address as well as the website for the foundation below.  Please brothers and sisters, if you can't send funds to help with the bills then give the best gift of all.... a priceless one... The Gift of Prayer.

 

     Father God, I don't even know where to begin.  You see the heartache of this family as well as the joy of this new life.  Lord comfort them.  Give them the support that they need to get through this very difficult time.  Lord I lift up this father and son to you.  Hold them tightly in Your loving arms.  Touch this baby right now Lord.  She is Your child.  Protect her and allow her to stay in that protective womb until she is ready to come into this world.  Lord I don't have the words but You know exactly what is needed here and You know the urgency.  Thank you for protecting this little life, for saving it.  You alone are worthy and I give you all the praise and the glory. Amen and Amen
