Greetings Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

Please pray for all the people of the Gulf of Mexico coast. We have another hurricane threating somewheres along the coast. According to the weather person, it may be a catagory 3 or 4 storm by the time it reaches shore. I thank you for all you can do in prayer for all of us. God bless you in the name of Jesus! Dear Father,

How mighty is your power.  I ask for your protection in the next few days with things that result from this hurricane Rita.  I pray that we are all safe wherever we are right now and will be.  Please help the ones stuck out on the roads right now, out of gas, hungry, thirsty and scared.  Bring them some way to get on with their journey to safety.  Open up the hearts of people in their areas to give them water and food and extra gas while they wait and worry in fear and exhaustion.  Open up means of shelter if there is no way they can go further.  Provide what they need right now to get off the roads where they are open to the storms to come.  Bless them right now as we pray over them.   Be with those of us who will be taking safety in the next few hours, guide our steps and protect us as we seek shelter or stay home and wait it out.
I ask for your covering over us.
 IN Jesus holy name, amen

Hi everyone,  do keep us all in prayers.   The hurricane eye seems to be going a bit more east of us, good for us, not for them.  The past few days have been very stressful as we prepare and wonder what to do.  My plans have changed several times, due to others plans changing.
I am thinking of going out to church to stay until the worst is over.  My apt floods really bad, so I do not think I caN stay here and watch the water raise, like I had to do with Allison 4 yrs ago.  Keep us in prayers as we all go out separate ways or just stay put.

Lord, we ask that You place Your hand on the storm, and calm the winds.  We ask mercy on the those that are in her path.  Help them to prepare for what is ahead.  Make known Your will in  all of this.  For it is in Your powerful name we pray.  Amen
