16 lb turkey (thawed) 2 T honey 1 tsp water 2 tsp chili powder 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp ground allspice 1/4 tsp ground cumin 1/4 tsp salt 1/8 tsp ground red pepper
Wash and dry turkey. Prepare turkey according to package directions and roast in shallow roasting pan in a 325-degree oven or cook on outdoor grill
Combine honey with remaining ingredients and set aside.
During the last 45 minutes of the cooking time, brush honey mixture over skin. For oven prepared turkey, loosely cover breast and top of drumsticks with lightweight foil to prevent overcooking of breast.
Cook turkey until temperature reaches 180 degrees in the thighs. Let stand 15 to 20 minutes before carving.
