happy new year to you all .i am sorry i haven't been here as much as i would have liked to but i have had 2 extras tarn up roy and katy arrived expectedly for a day or two not that i minded as it's been so long since i sour him .it just means more work .that have gone out to have a look round the big shopping center near me so i grabbed this chance to let you know that i am doing well before i get started on some more food for tonight .dee sweetheart please take care of that cold you have got we don't want you getting run down now do we .carol and sharon i hope you are going to have a better year this year and you to sweetheart . dee i do love my new bathroom lol i don't want anyone using it and have to go and check it now and then just to see that know-one has messed it up i guess i will get used to it in time ok i better make the best of the time i have on my own and get tidied up a bit .but i want you to know that even though i am not on my putter much at the moment i still think about you there all the time and send you lots of love . |

Well, hello and a very "Happy New Year" to you Sweet Jenny! It's so good to read your post, and I'll bet you were so excited to see Roy and Katy! It has been awhile since you've seen Roy hasn't it, I can't remember you mentioning him in quite awhile except maybe to just talk about him...I'm so happy for you that they made it to see you!! What a grand surprise here at Christmas and New Years, huh??? You do enjoy them all you can, I know how you are about your f amily, and how important they are to you...I'll bet you're spoiling them rotten aren't you? Fixing all of Roy's favorite dishes, etc, it sounds just like what you would do!! Just try to not over do yourself, OK Sweetheart?? As far as your new bathroom goes, I understand that completely, because I'm still pretty much the same way with my kitchen, and look how old it is now! I'm maybe not as bad as I was to start with, but still bad enough! LOL It's OK< it'll get easier and you won't be as protective as you are right now...When things are new to us, we tend to want to take special care of them, it's human nature isn't it ladies??? I think it's a built in protection mechanism in our brains, LOL...
Carol and Sharon, I hope you both had a pleasant New Year's Eve, and got a good night's sleep too! All three of you were in my thoughts as I sat here at my computer! I'm still gonna be glad when things settle down and get back to some bit of normalcy! LOL I know, I'm selfish aren't I??? Just love and miss my bestest friends! Y'all can relate to that can't you???

Oh my goodness Carol, bless your heart! I know about those back troubles, and it's definitely not any fun,you take care of yourself, won't you?? I sure do hope you haven't ruptured the disc in your back, although a pulled mascle is as painful and takes a long time to heal...I'll be thinking about you Sweetie, and praying for you! Try to rest as much as you can! OK?
I kept our"Little Man" today for about 4 hours, he was a darlin', and a good boy! (Of course, would I say anything less?) LOL Jamie starts back to work teaching tomorrow, so I'll be keeping him all day Friday, yippee! Still fighting the cold, although it's getting better finally, I'm ready for it to be gone!!!

Hi everyone,
Happy New Year a little bit late!! I hope you all had a great rest-of-the-holiday, and I'm sorry I've been scarce lately... I missed you all and really couldn't wait to get back to my computer. And Dee I agree with you, can't wait till things settle down to a routine after these last few weeks.
What a week (or two) it's been for us! The holiday started with my mom having what turned out to be the flu, and then bronchitis after that!! Doctor thankfully just gave her antibiotics and she's getting some relief, finally! But now Chris and I are both fighting off something, hopefully not the same thing! :( Is it just by us, or is everyone sick around your areas too? Lots of colds, flu, etc.. I guess it's just that time of year. blah to that!
Carol and Dee I'm sorry to hear that you're both under the weather too. Dee you mentioned you're on the mend so that's good news, keep up the good work lol! Carol I really hope your back is okay - - the belt is a good idea, along with ice if you can handle it. I know back problems can be really really painful and I just hope you have some relief by now! Jenny, like Dee said I hope you're doing well and just busy -- as long as you're healthy and feeling okay, we're happy about that :) :)
not much else going on here at the moment (cheers to that!) just enjoying a restful evening.. I hope each of you are too :) It's a frigid 10 degrees (F) here tonight so I'm sending out a bunch of toasty warm hugs to my 3 dear friends... love to you all ~sharon~ |

Hello my sweet friends! Poor Carol, I'm glad you went to the doctor and got some relief! The carisoprodol 350 you mentioned is the best muscle relaxer on the market as far as I'm concerned Sweetie, it really is! It's the only one that will work for me, and they have tried several on me, but always go back to that one when I need one...I keep them on hand just in case! Garry sometimes need them too, so they are a must have here! You just take it easy as you are able too, OK??? We sure don't want you doing anymore damage to your back! Did the doctor give you any idea what he thought he was happened??? Such a pulled muscle, hopefully not the alternatives! The naproxen is one of those drugs like aleve, etc, there's a name for it, but I can't think of it right now, there are several different types of it too! I took Motrin way back when, but my tummy won't let me t ake that anymore, but they are good for back pain, especially arthritis pain, strain pains, etc...Insaids, that's the word I was looking for, that's what they're called! My brain does work once in awhile, LOL...As for the oxycodone, it's a pain pill, as you've no doubt figured out! LOL Not one you'd want to share with people that you have in possession either, OK? Keep it in the family, people love to get their hands on medicines like that! OK? Not trying to scare you, just share with you lessons learned! I'm just so glad you got something that helps you, doctors have gotten to where they are afraid to give out too much pain medication, they are getting selfish with it, the ones that abuse it, make it hard for the people that actually really do need it! You know what I mean don't you? Anyway, as I said, please be careful and don't overdo if you can help it! OK?
Sharon Sweetie, it's so good to see your smiling post again! Sorry to hear about your mom's problems, bless her heart! Like she didn't have enough on her plate already! I hope she's doing OK, and will soon be over her ailments! Give her my best wishes for a speedy recovery OK Sweetie? I hope you and your hubby are quick to get over yours too, nothing quite like having the dadblame flu is there??? Yes, it's going around here too, it is that time of the year! I'm working on getting rid of my cold, and got word yesterday my surgery is scheduled! I have to go on the 11th of Feb to pre-register, then Feb 18th, at 11:00 AM I'm scheduled to be at the hospital to get ready for my surgery! It's a shame to be looking forward to it, but I'm ready for this pain to be gone! Whining done now! LOL Just wanted to let you all know, it's in the works now anyway, OK?

hi you all well roy and katy have gone back home now and i must say i am glad as i seem to have got a bug or something and am spending a lot of time in the bathroom .roy got me something from the chemist and it's helping .i just hope i get a easy weekend as i am so looking forward to it .carol i am sorry you are having some problems with you back i also know how bad that can be as i get that problem now and then just you look after your self and that goes for you all .we all seem to be going though it at the moment lets hope we get well soon sharon i was sorry to hear you mom was not well and hope she gets well soon .we all need some sun and warmth as it's so cold here we got snow yesterday but it's gone this morning thats the last thing we need still i am staying in and warm .dee sweetheart you know we want you to get rid of the pain so lets hope the surgery with do the trick we will all be there with you sweetheart .ok i have to make a trip upstairs again but will be back .i am sending you all a very big hug and lots of kisses . |

Good morning ladies. I'll bet you are glad to have some time on your own again, bless your heart! You are so used to being on your own, and you've had company all through the holidays! I know you were glad enough to see all of your boys and their wives, but it's time again for you to have a rest! | Good evening ladies! I just popped in to say 'hello', I'm wide awake right now since I was laying down most of the day (shhh, don't tell anyone but it was nice lol!...) I still have a good head cold but at least it's not getting any worse. Carol I posted before seeing your mention about the pain pills. Thank goodness for them sometimes! I'm so glad they are bringing you some relief. Dee and Jenny I hope you had a restful and peaceful day today, it's definitely what the doctor ordered for all of us. good afternoon all it's good to see we all are all getting here sometimes .i am feeling a lot better now and am having a nice quiet weekend .ian is cooking and doing something light for me .i was late getting up this morning which is unusual for me but feel better for it . you all try and have a easy day as i am having and remember i love you all . |

Good afternoon Ladies! Jenny, it's so good to see your post today! I'm glad Ian is fixing you something lite for dinner, I'm lucky myself today! Garry is fixing my dinner too! LOL I'm grinning! He's a good cook too, although not as good a cook as your Ian is, he does a good job...Garry went out for breakfast this morning, as he usually does on Sunday mornings, and met Jamie and Nolan at the restaurant, surprise, surprise! So, he got to see our "Little Man", and eat breakfast with them, he enjoyed that...
It's quiet here too Jenny, I'm thinking about hooking up my new printer the kids got me for Christmas, I've been waiting until I had plenty of time and didn't have to worry about getting interrupted while I was working on it. Garry said he'd help me, so I shouldn't have any problems...Don't know if I told you or not, but this printer has got a copier and a scanner on it too, that ought to make it nice. Just hate to have to get rid of the printer I've got, it prints such good pictures, but this one is supposed to do that too! It even takes the red eye out of hte pictures for you before it prints it! Neat huh?
