Good morning now it is ladies, and here I am again, lmao! Well CCC, that's good to know, it would be ashame to be a dead cat wouldn't it??? LOL
Sharon, kind of that's the idea with the leaves, LOL...You can cut off one leaf from an african violet, and from my experiences of doing this, I've discovered that distilled or sterile water is the best to root a leaf in, oK? Or actually, I don't know if you've ever heard of a thing called rootone, it's a hormone for plants, but you can dip the stem of the leaf in rootone and put it directly into the dirt! I think it's better to start it out by rooting it first though, it seems to get a better start that way! OK? And yes Ma'am, it does really work, OK? Besides being a cheap way to get started in african violets, by getting a leaf from a friend that has them, or if you have one dying, you can just take a leaf from it and start yourself a new plant...It takes time, but for me it's gratifying to start one out like that myself...Yep it sure enough is! LOL
Jenny Darlin', hope you're out puttering around in your garden again and there isn't something wrong with our Sweet Jenny! I love you girls lots and lots, and I'm sending you each some big old hugs again...Nite nite for now, Dee...
