I'm still around and I feel terrible that I've been 'out of it' for a whole month, I didn't mean to worry anyone! Half of it was good and half not-so-good! I'm so glad to see you all are still here and I still want to do a lot of catching up, as I haven't even read the last few weeks of posts from you. It took me a few days to get my password changed because I forgot it :-P We took our honeymoon the first couple weeks of September - that was the half that was good :) We saw almost all of the island of Sicily, it was just breathtaking in the countryside, and BUSY in the cities. So different from here, and such a wonderful time we had!
Then the time since then has been one day to the next... chris and I are both in school, so the days are busy. Mom is doing okay herself, but I'm sad to say that we've been dealing with my brother going back to using drugs again, and in turn causing so much tension and strain in my family... for what reason I couldn't tell you - I wish I knew! he's been staying with my mom for a while now, and it tears her apart to go through this again. I'm not sure if my dad ever mentioned Brian's history and what we all went through with him, but it was such a large part of our home life that it makes sense he would have shared it with his friends. I hope you don't mind hearing about it now either way! I just don't know what to about the stress that he causes my mom. I had a big argument with him just a few days ago, though my intention was to offer him help before things get any worse. *sigh* I'm sorry for the babbling on my first post in so long LOL! I know you three will understand and possibly have some words of wisdom for me :)
I'm sure you know, but it's been a whole year now since my dad's passing - we went to the veteran's cemetery yesterday where some of his ashes were buried,..it amazed me how time flies. Well, I am going now to start catching up on the last posts, and hoping to see all good stuff going on with you girls. Lots of love and be back soon :) love, sharon |
