I said to the BBC that I had a few suggestions to remedy the situation. Firstly they could just turn the lights off at 11pm, if you're gonna be out late take a torch. Secondly and I think a great idea, turn all the lights off and issue everyone with night vision goggles and the third suggestion is get those buttons on the lamp posts that you get on landings in hotels, you press it and the light turns on and you have to run to the next lamp post to press that one before the previous light goes off. This suggestion also addresses obeasety......although I didn't add that bit. He thought I was mad enough anyway. I also told him I had given up watching the news over the last week, its just too much doom and gloom. I told him I opted for sponge bob instead lol!
Yeah, I think they went away thinking I was mad. Did make him laugh though!
