We both said we wished we'd done one so why don't we on our site!!!
We could do a header called diarys, we could do it in one of two ways.  Have a board called diary and you and me do our own threads adding whats happened then anyone else can start their own.
The other way which might prove easier to go back and see what happened the previous year on would be to do a post called january, february etc and we just put our findings in a post on whichever month we're on.
eg....
 
March 1st
Powys
1st sigting of peacock butterfly (or whatever)
 
So we have the date, the place if we want but at least the county incase anyone else joins in
Then the next year we can do some kind of calender from the previous year of main things.???
 
We could do a board for each month if prefered? But maybe a post would do....

After more thought maybe a main header of diary and then month by month boards would be better after all.  Then we could start a new post titled whatever we see, then add to that post each time and year to year, ie snowdrops as title and then as i said before

At the very least the site will be interesting to us and a good record of stuff esp if both of us do it locally we'll get an idea of whats going on in our area
