If you've got less time and I'm on less then really we'll not be able to keep more than one site really well.  If we kept wk for all recipes and then let members join if they want to share and use the recipes, but forget the general board on there and use the other site for general posts to do with food (and anything else)
As you have probably seen there are tonns of sites on msn, most of them are crap and not much doing.  I think if we want a good one we might have to put all the time into that one rather than having multiple sites, after all, country living is great for recipes and plant posts etc....
Would you not be happy with that?
