~Chicken & Bread Dressing~
- 1 lrg hen or 2 sm fryers
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 cup diced celery
- 3 cups cornbread crumbs
- 3 cups biscuit crumbs
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp poultry seasoning
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups chicken stock(broth)
Boil chicken till done; reserve stock. Remove the bones from the chicken when it is cool enough to handle. Mix chicken with all other engredients. Refrigerate overnight. Pour mix into a large buttered baking pan. Bake on 400 degrees till done. Use more stock to make mixture as wet as you like it.
