~Spiced Baked Apples~ - 3 large Rome apples, cored and quartered
- 2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 2 TBSP lemon juice
- 2/3 cup apple juice or cider
- 2 TBSP butter or margarine
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In baking dish, toss apples with lemon juice; set aside. In saucepan, combine apple juice/cider, sugar, butter/margarine and cinnamon. Heat on medium until sugar is dissolved and butter/margarine melts. Pour mixture over apples. Bake 10 minutes. Turn apples over; bake another 10 minutes. Serve warm. |
