~Venison Burger Steaks~ - 1 lb venison burger
- 2 TBSP dry onion soup mix
- 2TBSP abutter
- 1/3 cup wine
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 4 strips bacon
- 1 (4oz) can sliced mushrooms, drained
In a bowl, combine burger, garlic and onion soup mix. Mix thoroughly and shape into 4 patties. Place one strip of bacon around outside edge of each pattey and secure with a toothpick. Melt 1 TBSP of butter in a skillet and fry burgers on both sides untill bacon is crisp and meat is done. Remove burger steaks and keep warm. Drain off grease and melt 1 TBSP of butter in same skillet. Stir in drained mushrooms and cook until lightly browned. Stir in wine and cook for aobut 1 minute. Spoon wine mushroom sauce over steaks and serve. Serves 4. May be grilled over hot coals until done. |
