A Thanksgiving Day prayer, by Brian F. King, says:
O Lord, with humble hearts we pray
Thy blessing this Thanksgiving Day
And ask that at table place,
Where grateful folk say words of grace,
That Thou will come to share the yield
Thy bounty gave to farm and field.
We pray thy love will bless, O Lord,
Each hearth, each home, each festive board;
And that Thy peace will come to stay
Where candles glow, Thanksgiving Day.
I am sending this lovely prayer back to you with my love, and best wishes for a very happy Thanksgiving day to you. I am sure it will be a lovely day for you. You are so close to each other and love each other so much; I know.
Thankyou for the prayers for Susan and Alex. My son and Elise landed in London this morning and as I write this I am sure they are having fun exploring, this aftenoon and evening. They are staying in a hotel in Maida Vale tonight. Then on up to Leeds friday morning, to see Grahame's stepdaughter who is over from New Zealand, she flies back saturday. Tomorrow evening they will go to Huyton, Liverpool where Susan lives. From there I am not sure where they will go. Norman, Sue's husband says they can still stay there for the weekend. Elise would like to spend a little time with Caroline, but with her broken leg I am not sure what they will be able to do. If the car Grahame has rented is large enough maybe Caroline can sit in the back with her leg up and they can explore the Lake distrist. I told him he should take the girls to Blackpool to see the lights.
Hugs and one great big one for my young friend.
Maggie
P.S. Pam could you please put that prayer in the Quiet Corner on sunday? As I will not be there. Thank you
