I 'm telling Al you said he's a "snooty" frenchman! Haha! To answer your question , yes Alison speaks french all day in school. She's learning the same level stuff in french as she would be learning in an english school, so sometimes its pretty advanced hahaha, its been awhile since we did homework! Its funny because they want her to do her homework herself(which makes sense) and make mistakes , so they will know what she's weak in right? Well try to get that through Al's head!! He thinks its all gotta be perfect to turn in, and tries to get her to do it that way.Sometimes I have to be the referree! I am working on her tables with her.I keep telling her she needs to know them by heart and she is now rhyming the answers off , with only a couples of weeks of practising.I find these days , they are not pushing this, making them learn their tables.Geeez when i was in school , the nuns would drill us on our tabes everyday, (what a stress!) If you missed one , you were in crap, let me tell you! You darn well learned them by heart.I guess it was cruel but we didn't have to count on our fingers! Geez I see these kids at the check outs, they don't know how to make change or anything, unless the computer does it for them! Ok thats was a ramble to answer your question haha i gotta go, have a good day at your meeting...yuck! Ha! Cape |

Tell Al that I don't think HE'S snooty just the ones from France! LOL The schools really do push the kids to do more and more but they are zoning in on English Math and sciences. They are leaving history and other subjects behind and I think this is a bad judgement call. But they never asked me! I wish they would teach the children another language too - starting in elementary. Problem with that is, all the teachers would have to be bilingual and that just isn't going to happen.
