Good Morning

Its raining  in N Texas, glad to see it. so all the yard work paid off. The instrusctions on the winterizer  was put out before rain. We are expecting some big storms tonight & tomorrow.A new version of Gears of war just came out so I think the boys are staying up way to late trying to master it.Angel said all the rigs they are moving & erecting are all for gas now.Hope he gets enought time off to buy some new boots for work, his are comming apart. Watching the news people are not spending, this is a recession. And everyone is wanting bail out money, car manufactures, banks, energy & list goes on.I quess we will all  wait & see how bad it gets, & if our goverment can come out with a plan to pull us out of this. Going to get some more coffee & get my day started. Have a good day & keep asong in your heart.

Love & hugs Paula

Morning paula! It sure is scary if you listen to the media! Sometimes I think they turn the news to make it the way they want! People have to stop running and taking out their money from the markets, settle down and wait it out! I guess some don't have time to do that and its making for a crazy market right now! I am just wishing the Canadian dollar comes up some more before our trip, could mean the difference of a few thousand dollars to us on our vacation! We have gotten some pretty sound advice on our investments, so we are going to wait a bit and then move the rest to a safe place where the majority is now.Al plans to retire in another 3-4 years and so far I think we are still on track for that.
We'll see what kind of great big plans your new president comes out with and if it will settle things down.
Have yourself a good day my friend!

Hello Paula, it just started to rain a little bit ago at my house.  We do need it and I have no plans to go out so I am good to go on this end.
Bryce is not working for his grandpa anymore.  He went to work for Game Stop and he was working at mid-night when that new game came out.  They had him demonstrating how to play it.  He loves the job. He took a pay cut of a little over 2 dollars and hour plus gas money to work there.  He never really enjoyed working for his grandpa, he is a brute to work for, so he is much happier doing this.
Have a good day.
Hugs
Butchie

Hello Paula,

It's nearly 8pm here now, and the rain has eased off for now, seems pretty widespread all this rainfall.

Yes porridge is oats cooked in milk, we can buy one with added wheat bran, I wasn't fond of that one. I usually have several cereals on the shelf, the men like different ones!

It's the same here with spending, people cutting back, yet the shopping centre seems as crowded as ever to me if not more! I'm working a 4 hour shift tomorrow, so will do some browsing before my bus gets in, maybe that's what others are doing too, not buying?

Hope the rest of your day goes along well.

Love Phil x x x
