Good Morning We are having heavy thunder storms, got almost four inches in an hour last night & its still raining. Another storm woke me at 3:30 this morning. Highways & streets are closed due to high water. Angel came home from work last night, soaking wet & a bad cough. He left at five this morning, he will really be sick by the time he gets home tonight. Not much planed today, hoping to stay home. Just saw on the morning news Vets at DFW airport welcoming soldiers home, how wonderful is that. Phiddy enjoy your visit with your brother. Have a good day & keep a song in your heart. Love & hugs Paula

Good Morning Gems! Today is Rememberence Day in Canada and at the eleventh hour we stop to remember all those who have sacrificed their lives for our country. Wearing the poppy is a symbol we all wear today. God Bless the Military fighting the war now. Today we are having company later in the afternoon. A Friend is coming to help Tom dispose of a fridge from our basement and I will make a Steak dinner for us all.....(with Tom's help) I managed a lovely pork roast yesterday and it all turned out fine.....I do required assistance as I balance with my walker...lol.. The clean up is strictly on Tom. Soon I will be able to take over my kitchen again.. and I am sure he will be glad to hand it over...... Wishing you all a wonderful day. Tom just walked out the door to take Trayton and Avery to school. They were really good this morning and I didn't have to stand over them to get them dressed and fed and hair combed and teeth brushed. Their daddy called them to tell them he loved them. He is very hoarse from having that tube down his throat. Krisha said he's not having enough output so they are going to give him IV fluids this morning. They will also get him up today. He's still in a lot of pain but Krisha said he started talking and making sense at 4:00 this morning. he also got sick and threw up. Now you know that had to hurt. I've got the beds stripped and the laundry started. Tom is in a Veteran's day program at school this morning. God bless all our soldiers and keep them safe. Hugs, Raven

Good morning ladies, Phiddy, enjoy your visit with your brother, Paula, we got rain too, but not nearly as much. Hope Angel doesn't get too sick. Sylvia, glad to hear you are doing so well with your knee. You will be up and running around before you know it. Cape enjoy your lunch with Jim and the kids. Sliverma enjoy your day. I have got to get some cleaning done today in preparation for Thanksgiving. I am spending tomorrow with my sewing buddies. My sister will be in the week-end before Thanksgiving. We will all be going out to Silver Dollar City one day. Deer season opens this Sat. so I will be busy feeding several hungry hunters. Dan was here for supper last evening and will be here all week-end. Mindy and the kids will probably be here a lot too as Jon will be hunting with Bill and Dan. Hope everyone enjoys their day. Hugs, Mae

We had our Remembrance Day service on sunday. I always weep when the last post is sounded. I was lucky, I never lost anyone close to me in the 2nd world war, but remember it vividly. it seems cool and dull here this morning, i hope the rains stays off for the parades. My grandson is still sleeping but i will have to start chasing him soon to get ready to go to the doctor's. Have a good day and remember those who have given their all; that we may enjoy the peace they provided. Hugs Maggie Assembled By PamGL Tiles by PamGL @grandmasgems

Good evening all, We held services here on Sunday, it's always the Sunday closest to the 11th, so I posted poppies then, and Jack & Chloe marched in the parade in their Scout uniforms, and watched as veterans placed poppies at the cenotaph in the village. My paternal grandfather and uncle were both killed in WW2, my uncle being only 21. My father was upset as not allowed to serve like his father and older brothers, as he was in university at the time and he was told he was of more use with drawing up maps etc, and using his brain. I should be pleased as I may not be here otherwise I suppose! I've had a long day, walking around the shops after I worked my shift, and I fell asleep earlier in the chair! Won't be long until I head for bed, especially as I need to be up very early in the morning. Hope you all are having a good day. Love Phil HTML and assembled by Loz
