My big white hunter is so happy.....he shot his "buck". He is enjoying himself this week. Now we have enough venison to feed Pat (Jacks sister) some of you met her in Ottawa. She loves it. He shot 2 geese yesterday but that was another terrible experience...they don't die easily when shot in the water. I have a pic of him with his deer but it might upset some so I won't post it .   Belles

Well I would call that a happy hunter indeed.Did you ever marinate the meat in sour cream. Our son cooks it that way and wow is it good. You will have some good eating for the winter months.

Tom is looking forward to his hunt on Saturday.  He has seen a huge buck at our farm and he's hoping he will get a good shot.  Will, Travis and his brother Fred will also be hunting on the farm.  Hope they all get one the first day.  I think Tom is taking Trayton on Saturday evening.

Dolly, thanks for that tip on the marinade.  I'll try that.

Hugs,
Raven

Yum yum yum is all I can say! Skip the marinade and slap a slice of that steak right in the frying pan, I can smell it from here!
How is Pat? Tell I said hi!
Happy eating!

Glad Jack got his buck. Hope one of my guys gets some fresh meat over the coming week-end. Josh sent me an email and some pictures (Dan's friend that is in a wheel chair)  He got a doe. His dad took him to a managed hunt for the disabled up in North Missouri and he got a doe and got a shot at a nice buck. He was sure proud.
                                           Hugs,
                                                 Mae
