Sookhi Gobi
(cauliflower, ginger, garlic and green chilis)

I loved this but my kids were not impressed. LOL

3 T. vegetable oil
1/2 tsp. mustard seeds
3 cloves garlic, peeled and finely chopped...I used the equivilant of the minced garlic in a jar.
2 tsp. ginger
4 heaping cups cauliflower
1 4.5 oz. can green chilis
3/4 tsp. salt
black pepper
pinch of ceyenne pepper

I did not have a wok so I used a deep frying pan...
Put the oil in the pan on medium heat. When the oil is hot, put in the mustard seed. As soon as the mustard seeds begin to pop in a few seconds put in the garlic, ginger, cauliflower and green chilis...all at the same time. Stir and fry for 7-9 minutes until the cauliflower is browned a bit...put in the salt and pepper and toss....put in 1/4 cup water and cover. Cook until tender and water is gone...then fry a bit more to brown stirring often.

Makes approx. 4 servings
