I have started buying ground turkey, ground chicked, or ground pork. The ground pork costs half as much as much as the ground beef and it's healthier. Cassaroles are easy and cheaper to serve. Grow your own veggies and herbs, inside or outside. It's not as difficult as we think it is. Garage sales, thrift stores, and resale shops will save you tons. Check FreeCycle online for items you need, you can also post your wanted items. Have your own garage sale, all proceeds devoted to dog food and buy in bulk. Search feed stores, if you buy in bulk there are discounted prises. Do not shop for groceries at large retail stores such as Walmart or Target. I know the prices may seem lower, but if you're temped to go outside the grocery area...stay away. Go to a small market, buy store brands, when items you use are on sale stock up! GET BACK TO USING COUPONS AGAIN. Search for online coupons. Make a list and stick to it when shopping. If you can sew make your own. If you are crafty sell your crafts. Walk when you can. Reduce the use of gasoline by organizing your errands. And if you are really desparate search locally for food banks and charity organizations. I could go on and on, but will stop here. Most of all give Good Luck Tessa | |
